| Padmanava College of Eengineering was established under the aegis of Padmanva Educational Trust, Bhubaneswar on 14th November 1999. |

| Padmanava Educational Trust registered vide Regd. No. 747 dated 28.08.1998 in Bhubaneswar with the sole objective of promoting and aiding the quality educational growth in the State Orissa. The founding Tustees observed that apart from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela ( Previously named as Regional Engineering College, Rourkela) and few other Govt. technical institutes, the State lacked the necessary facilities in terms of infrastructure, qualified faculty etc, resulting in students going outside the state to pursue their education, undergoing great difficulties. |

| The creation of the trust was to perpetuate the memory of their late father Sri Padmanava Patnaik who himself was a great philanthropist in his lifetime and was ready to help the cause of education. |

| The managing Trustee Sri Tara Ranjan Patnaik aged about 53 years is presently the Head of the business group known as "Falcon Group" and is Cahirman and Director of M/s Falcon Marine Exports Ltd. Bhubaneswar an established producer - exporter of processed prawns and fish, with a turn over of Rs.200.00 Crores. |

| Sri Prava Ranjan Patnaik aged 51 years is the Managing Director of M/s Falcon Marine Exports Ltd. and looking after the day -to-day affairs of the company. |
